The Ford
Taurus SHO (Super High Output)
is a 4 door sports sedan like no other. It has a V-6 Yamaha racing
designed and engineered motor that is basically bullet proof. This engine
has the capabilities of having numerous power additives added to it on the
outside to produce up to 750 H.P. without any internal engine work being
done. That is what I have heard from one source. I have also just recently
found out from a new friend that he knew of a SHO supercharged that was at
530 H.P. at the crank. He said he got to go for a ride in this SHO, what a
ride that must have been. lol. He also told me that he had another friend
that was building an SHO that would probably surpass the530 HP one.
Hopefully we'll hear more about that one in the near future. Just imagine when you did some internal work what you could get out
of this 3.0 liter V-6. Notice on the close up of the Tach, at the bottom,
it says "unleaded fuel only" then under that it says "Premium
Recommended". Because it needs that Higher octane. This is my second SHO
that I have owned. This is the first year that Ford offered an automatic
as an option. This is a 1993 SHO loaded with every available option
offered from Ford on the SHO model that year. It is the First year that
they had Factory chrome/stainless dual exhaust. (So cool looking, besides
being functional, even though it is a 2-1-2 exhaust, and not a true
straight dual from engine to rear tips. ) It has a moon roof, security system, keyless entry,
remote, Leather, CD/Cass with factory power amps, and 6-1/2" woofer, yep,
factory. It has the 16 SHO "Cheese Slicer" aluminum wheels. I have just
bought a new set of Kumho 225/50/16 for them all around. They handle
nicely. I had the windows tinted a week after I got it, nice and dark. I
changed the halogen headlamps for some Hi-Intensity Blue Dot headlamps. I
am planning on getting a SuperChip for it soon. Ron.
